  1. (first try by Brodie Retallick) Me and my team rush the french then I saw the #10 dropping the ball on this right foot so i jump up and i knocked it down and it bounces up and back down in to my hands. I sprint to the try line and took a quick look over my should and saw a french player but i was to fast. Excitement went all over my face as I dived over the line and got a big hug from Richie Mccaw. Dan Carter calmly knocks the ball high, Ben Smith takes it in and I line up on the wing as it makes its way towards me, gliding gracefully between hands but when Brody Retalic finally gives it to me my feet burst into action and I charge towards a tackler who is challenging my possession and give him the fend and he hopelessly falls sideways then another one does the same but i'm not having any of it and I knock him away, and for the final one I slip the ball over the top and place it down

  3. I run, charging up the field, my heart starting to beat faster. Ahead of me Ben leaps. He's never going to get it. He tumbles to the ground, ball in hand. Amazing. Not everyone can pull off something like that. Someone passed it to Brody, who passed it to me. This was my moment. My legs pumped, adrenaline racing through them. I dodge a French player, but not bothering to with the next one. I smash into him and momentum carries me onward. Another one sprints towards me. We collide, but it still doesn't stop me. I dive and the ball touches the ground. Turning my head slightly, I see the bright white line gleam behind me. Standing up, my team mates surround me. The crowd roars. I'm in my element.

As Brodie Retallick pops the rugby ball up to me I ran at full speed bumping the first player then the the other player and on the last player I gave my whole body to him.
I landed on my feet then my body and last the ball just landed past the try line. I tried to stand up but I couldn't because Brodie Retallick jumped on me and I saw Aaron Smith standing right in front of me screaming at me in a happy way.
Suddenly "SLAP" Conrad Smith slapped me on my face in accident, after that I went and celebrated with my team, then I looked at my coach and he was really happy.

  4. I dash right into a French player and rob him of the ball then head straight for the goal but instead I get tackled dropping the ball. Forcing my self to get up, I run into the sea of players and steal back the ball. I make a massive U turn towards the goal. A tackler comes charging straight for me but I shove him away same for another one. Then I smash the ball down on the ground and know that I had scored a try. The entire stadium erupts with cheers as well as the team!

(Savea) Beside me, Brody Retallic is getting close to the French and does a short pass to me. I start to sprint and as I get closer the French start to close in on me so i start to plough forward knocking people out of the way. The first goes down as i push them out of the way and then the second when i sidestep them. I get closer and closer and that's when another comes form the side but I fend him off and dive forward. I hit the ground and I have scored a try!

As everything kicked into action, I ripped down the field and the ball came to me, I took my opportunity and I slapped the ball down, snatched it and sprinted down the crisp green field, my legs pumping, adrenalin flowing. I took one last dive and leaped over the line, the crowd exploded with applause and awe and the whistle sounds.

Two passes later, the ball was in my hands. I swerve pass the opposing team that came rushing towards me as I hastily dash my way to the try line. A French player sprints their way to me but I quickly dive down onto the try line as my body glides across the grass, scoring a victorious try.

  8. The person on the opposition kicks the ball into the air with all his might, only for me to grab it and start sprinting. I run as fast as I can the grass ripping under my feet and sweat dripping from my face. I begin to dive down and the other team's player grabs the number 4 on my jersey. But it's too late by the time he has grabbed my top I'm already a few inches from the tryline. Yes!! I did I got my team a try.

  9. As the French kicked the ball aiming high into the air, I had just one tiny small second to reach, to grab the oh-so-precious oval and make to the try line. God was on my side. as the ball was punted, it got blocked by my hands. I grabbed hold of the huge egg and sprinted as hard as I could to reach the white line. My wish came true.

  10. As the French man kicked the ball up in the air. I leaped in to the air hoping to get it, the ball slammed in to my huge chest. I grabbed the golden ball as fast as I could and sprinted. I dived over the white line with a giant smile on my face.

  11. (Nehe Milner-Skudder’s try) I saw in the corner of my eye Conrad Smith taking a hard hit from the French and then offloading to Ma’a Nonu. Quickly Ma’a Nonu pops the ball out of his hands to me. Then with my speedy twinkle toes I stepped past number 11. The french number 15 fumbles and then regains his pace but he is no match for me. I turn around to see the crowd standing out of their seats clapping and cheering with excitement as I place the solid oval ball onto the cold prickly grass.

  12. We advance, skilfully throwing the small torpedo at each other. I feel the pressure of a nation on my broad shoulders as the ball is flung at me from the hands of a fallen comrade. Eyes of the French divert to me. Their malicious eyes make my stomach clench and make adrenaline shoot through my tense limbs. I make a split-second decision; and dodge. Turning away from the red crusaders set on knocking me over, I take off along the green runway leading directly to the golden try line of glory. By Louise

    Hat Trick

Owen franks crashed into the french player. As the french player was man-handlled to the ground, the ball slid from his grasp; Straight into Dan carter's hands and he was off, like a rabbit. Tearing forward like a dog chasing a ball, the french number 15 rushed to met him, Before the big french “tough guy” crashed into dan cater he managed to offload it to me.Grinning at me, the try line beckoned. My engine was at full astern,my legs pistons pumping up and down. A french player tried to catch me. But there was no stopping me from this hat trick. The try line came and went and as I placed the ball on the ground a broad smile was placed on my dial and no one was wiping it of. Two words spinned around my brain: Hat Trick, Hat Trick, Hat Trick. 14. (1st try - Brodie Retallick)
His foot collides with the ball creating a very powerful kick. Obviously it was intended to go up the field. I see it soaring towards my face as i jump up to intercept it. The ball whacks into my chest and falls back down to the ground. It bounces sky high, and plummets back down straight into my arms. It’s that instance that i realise, i could score the first try of this game. There is a perfect opening right in front of me and my legs take off. Number 2 of the opposing team is getting awfully close, and might even ruin this for me. The line is now about a metre away and it’s now or never. I leap. The ball hits the ground and the referee’s whistle blows. The crowd goes mental.

  15. I turn off all the cheering and focus in on the game. I extend out to bat down the ball. All seems to freeze as I launch forward to grab the only thing on my mind. My arms tingle from the ball being launched into my arms at the seed of light. My ankles extend out to finish off my powerful leap. TRI!

  16. (Brodie Retallicks try)

I could see the frenchman lift his leg up to try punt the ball down field. I then had to act quickly, as soon as the ball left his hands I jumped as high as I could and stretched out as tall as a giraffe to intercept the ball. The ball flew into my hands and bounced off backwards. It happened so quickly I needed to wish I had a lucky bounce. My eyes were on the ball until it was in my hands and as soon as I got it I sprinted to the line. I could see it about 20-30 metres away and there were no obstacles that I could see. My heart was pumping with excitement and I knew that I was going to make it. I could see a bit of red coming up behind me but none of that bothered me much as the try line was only metres away now. I took a olympic dive to reach the try line and made sure I made the ball touch the ground with pressure. I heard the refs whistle and from that moment I had a massive smile on my face while I heard the crowd go wild for my try!!

Supporting Daniel Carter for a pass, “ Dan I’m open, I’m open”. Quick reflexes from Dan, backpasses it to me. Now it’s all up to me, I see a gap through the side. With all my speed I sprint down the line and pass two frenchmens. “JULIAN SAVEA!!! Scores the try” Is all I hear from the commentator. Daniel comes to me we celebrate with joy. But it’s not over i speak to myself. Running up the line for a pass to score a try, Retallick gives a quick pass to me. All I know is that I have to get the ball to the try line. Barging into france players one by one to get a try, at the end knowing I’m successful.

  18. I'm in the hands of another sweating player, eww. I hope this doesn't last long because I am sick of being kicked or past through the air going at 100 miles per minute. No, no, no, don't kick. OWW I fly into the air 'SLAM', 'BANG'!! OWWWWW, why me? Not another sweaty player, wow I never noticed that some were wearing black?? I'm flying weeee, (oh wait I always fly) 'BANG' I hit the ground with a thud, and I here people cheer......

I steady my eyes on Dan. Number 4 is nearly on top of him, but he pushes him away. He holds the ball in his left hand as he dodges the players. He’s never going to make it to me, specially with his weak hand. French players are surrounding us, slowly getting closer. Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I see the ball coming towards me. I reach out both my hands to catch it, did Dan just throw that? I look back as he falls over with Number 14 nearly tripping over him. No time to watch now. My legs pump and i run to the line. My heart is beating wildly. Adrenaline flows through my body. The French slow to a jog like they’ve given up. But wait, I need to get past the white line.
The gleaming white line and the ball. Do you know what happens when they meet?
    It’s a try.

It’s now or never. Knocking the ball down with all my might, grasping it in the nick of time. Bolting to and through, dodging the other opponents. Choosing to ignore the fact that my leg was throbbing tremendously. Someone attempts to grab the ball from me, only encouraging me to run more rapidly. The goal is only seconds away and in moments reach. Diving down, with the ball still firmly in my grasp. Leaping in the air, yelling with joy while my team congratulates me. My breathing is fast and I’m sweating all over. Screams and yells fill the air in excitement and it's fair to say that the All Blacks, with no doubt will dominate this year's Rugby World cup.

The ball. In the hands of the opposing team. I blasted across the field, sweat dripping from my forehead. The Frenchman raised his leg, ready to kick, and the ball came flying towards me. With hope, I leapt into the air and threw up my hands to stop it. The ball collided with my arms and rebounded back onto the grass. Within a few bounces, I grabbed it again and continued sprinting down the field. It was all on me to score the first try. I ran faster, then took a dive towards the line. Screams of excitement from the crowds blasted my ears as the whistle was blown. I had done it.

  22. Suddenly, the ball was in my hands and the only thing going through my mind was the thought of scoring a goal. I ran with all my might and in no time my skin was greeted by the cold, wet grass. I had scored a goal. The rush of adrenaline running through my veins hit me like a truck and suddenly all of the blood, sweat and tears were worth it and I knew I had done my country proud. It took me a while to realise that now, all eyes were on me and before I knew it the crowd was on their feet cheering for me

  23. As number ten kicked the ball I jumped with all my might up into the air to grab the ball, instead I kick it up into the air making it fly. I run and catch the ball and start to run. My mind is filled with questions, will I get the goal? Or will I let the boys down? I try to focus and just put my all my effort into getting this goal. I see the line and I go for it. "GOAL!!"

  24. Thud, thud, thud, thud, thud.
Every step I can feel the moisture rising up behind my heels, I ward off person after person, the ball alternating between hand in hand. My hands trembling, but my mind solid. I know everything I do has to be perfect. I get past one, two, three, fake! The crowd cheering my name over and over, every single syllable I feel a rush. I feel something I have never felt before. I feel... I feel strong. I feel in the moment. I. Feel. Unstoppable, and that is exactly what I plan on being. What happens now is beyond me. I just keep on going. "I am a tank!" I think to myself.

I hit the grass, the already deafening sound of the crowd raises. One word...
    Adrenaline.

  25. I felt the grass under my boots as I sprinted along the pitch. It was my time for glory I thought. Team mates called encouraging me.
“Run, run you can do it !”
An opposing team member ran at me, Trying to tackle me. To bring me to the ground. To grab the ball and try to win it for their team. But I was ready. As he came at me I dodged out of the way and onwards I ran. And their It was. A gap strait towards the try line. I sprinted at full pelt towards the opportunity of a try. Suddenly another man came out of nowhere tapping my ankle. I thought I was fine as I dived onto the ground. But when I hit the ground the ball lept out of my hands and the whistle blew. I pulled my hands up onto my head in despair as the referee called “no try!”
Although my team won I still feel down about that one chance wasted. ‘Almost’ I thought ‘Almost’

"Boom!" A bone crunching tackle was made on Smithy but somehow he offloads a miracle pass to Ma'a. Out of the corner of my I spot 3 defenders rushing across field. There is only one way through these physical french players, the scintillating skutter step. “Yes, Scux here!” Ma’a (aka scux) draws in one of the drifting defenders and free’s me up. “Bang!” A step off the right and I explode through the miniscule gap between the french. With steam to burn I gap it for the white turf. 2,3,4 thundering body are flying in my direction. I put every last ounce into the last ten and really put on the afterburners. The crowd erupts. France, a strong team that we all thought would be the hardest team we would have played so far but they surprise us, a lot.

17-6 not bad for the first 23 minutes, but you really have no time to get sidetracked in such an important game. No more than 5 minutes later were we in serious action again. Dan’s sprinting his heart out and I’m right behind him ready for that pass we are all waiting for. The moment arrives, he is surrounded by french, not daring to look back trusting and relying on the team. The pass arrives, landing safely in my hands, running like the wind i glance behind revising I am over the try line, turning, I place the ball right between the goal posts. The team comes sprinting over and congratulate me and and Dan for an amazing try.

I saw Frederic Michalak go to kick the ball. This was my chance to make the spotlight. I scampered to the fly-half to charge down and save the day! The ball somehow located my face, but I couldn't let a little hit stop me from getting a try. I sprinted as fast as my legs could take me. I leaped and I plunged towards the bright green grass. The white ball blended in beautifully to the grass in my eyes.

France have possession still a try is yet to be scored from either team, Fredrick Michalak brings back his foot to punt the ball downfield, Brodie Retallick running up to charge and its successful, the ball rolls to the 22m line and the perfect bounce sets up Brodie Rettalick for his 2nd RWC try. The crowd sets alight with cheers and boos (from the french) in the end with Fredrick pulling a hamstring after turning without moving his foot to catch Brodie it was the end of the game for him. But that was only the start with the All Blacks winning 62 - 13 booking them a semi-final spot. Celebratory croissants anyone?

I sprint up the sideline past Conrad smith, my eyes focused on the ball that is now in the arms of Brodie then he releases the ball, that comes flying towards me.

I successfully catch it, I quickly realise number 14 from the opposite team is getting ready to tackle.

So I push him with all my might making him fall of his guard and faceplant to the ground.
Number 15 from the french rums up my side so in return I push him with my right shoulder.

within milliseconds another french runs to my side I nudge him hard with my shoulder, the crowd roars with excitement as my body flys forwards to score an impressive try.
