'Forever Bed' By Ella H

FOREVER BED

I lay here, silent
Velvet envelops me
under hard, carved wood
Flesh is no more
My eyes have withdrawn use
Red and black is all I see
And people staring over me
I am no longer worthy of this death
for I know what I did is not right.
A bullet is no longer my protector
I am awake through night and day
I am homesick
Far away from the land I fought for
